An amendment to the Tourism of Mexico City Act was published in the Official Gazette of Mexico city on April 4, 2024.
The main change to this Act was the inclusion of a chapter called "Temporary Tourist Lodging", whose main purposes is to regulate the provision of services of a short-term stay in residential properties in exchange for a fee.
